The shooting of the film commenced in Kolkata and continued in Hyderabad and Chennai. One of the roles that Vijay had donned in this film is of a negative one. Because of this Vijay was seen sporting a beard and long hair. In this role, he will be helping the poor and needy. Sources say that this role will be an important one in Vijay’s cinema career. The shooting of the film concluded in Pushpa Gardens. On that day Vijay wanted to feed the entire cast and crew with Biriyani and also give everyone gifts. So arrangements were made. All the cast and crew including director A.R.Murugadoss was served Biriyani by Vijay. He had also invited the families of the cast and crew for this treat. After the treat, Vijay gave gifts to one and all as a gesture of thanks.
